Pages in Google’s supplemental results are parsed in a different way than pages in the regular index. Pages from the extra results can get into the primary index. According to Matt Cutts, phrase relationships are managed a bit in a different way for supplemental pages. He didn’t expose details.
Web designers should not be worried if they have pages in the supplemental index. Matt Cutts has numerous his own pages in the supplemental index.
Google thinks about purchasing links to be outside of their guidelines and they may take strong actions against that in the future. Matt Cutts showed that “Google might act” if web designers buy links anyway.
Matt Cutts said that links to other websites are good for users, and for that reason helpful for search engines.
Matt Cutts suggested that a web designer who owns many spammy websites might get problem with his other sites.
Google attempts to avoid online store result pages in its own outcome pages. If an online store search result page appears like search results page that are available anywhere else, then Google does not like the page. It’s better if it has distinct content.
Classification pages in online stores work better according to Matt Cutts. However, a product needs to only be noted in the best-applicable classification rather of being noted in 30 different locations.
Matt Cutts recommended to evaluate the web pages that presently have high rankings due to the fact that web designers can learn from them.
